Help / FAQ

Q: What?
A: Exactly!

Q: I don't understand some of this jargon you seem to be using.
A: First of all you might want to try a dictionary if you think it might be an actual word. That said, I might use some weird words or acronyms at times, such as "grok", "FPS" or "IM". I might just make a glossary...

Q: How did you decide on the alias "Zyxess"? Does it mean anything?
A: I was playing Diablo and decided I needed a new nickname. I tried just pressing combinations of letters I liked on the keyboard to try and come up with something. I'm not sure how long it took - maybe half an hour, maybe two hours - but I liked the result. It was only two years later that I tried reversing the name... I swear that wasn't intentional. So no, the name Zyxess doesn't bear some special meaning.

Q: Your site looks all messed up to me!
A: I've made quite an effort to use W3C XHTML and CSS standards - my guess is you should update your browser. I would personally recommend you to use Mozilla Firefox, but it is - of course - up to you.

Q: About that, could you just give me the short version of this W3C, XHTML, CSS thing?
A: Sure - suffice to say this means that the site code is well-formed, and as such has a good chance of being displayed correctly in your browser. (X)HTML defines the structure and content of a web page, and CSS is a way of specifying the layout of the web page. W3C is the organization setting the standards for well-formed HTML and CSS documents.
For details I'll refer you to two short (about one page) articles on html.net about web standards and validation for HTML and web standards and validation for CSS. I'm sure they can explain things better than I could.
